Busy, friendly single-parent household in Newton Corner seeking a responsible graduate student for a private, large walk-out studio with private entrance, full bathroom, refrigerator, and access to the family kitchen. Substantially reduced rent in exchange for approximately 10–15 hours of help per week.
Primary responsibility is driving three children (14, 12, and 8) to and from school in Cambridge Monday–Friday. Departure is 7:40 a.m.; pickup is 3:30–4:30 p.m. The commute is approximately 20 minutes each way. Driving to and from approximately one additional activity per week.
Located in Newton’s Farlow Hill neighborhood, minutes from the Mass Pike and public transportation, 10 minutes by bike to BC and 20 minutes to Harvard Square.
Reliable car, clean driving record, references, and non-smoker required.
Friendly dog and cat in the home, but not in your space.

This space is a large studio room inside of a family home. It is the garden level with a walk out into our backyard (which is nicely landscaped). There is a petite patio off of the room with an Adirondack chair. The space is closed off to the rest... of the house however the unfinished basement is adjacent to the hallway leading to the bathroom (also closed off). If needed renter could store some items in the unfinished basement. There is a separate entrance in and out of the home for the renter. All utilities are included though it is asked that you are respectful of turning off lights when you are out etc... There is a full bathroom on this level as well.

Currently this is room is a family room with a Peloton, Treadmill and rowing machine and large television. There are two sofas as well as an armoire, tv console with storage and 2 closets which can all stay or be stored or any combination of the two. There is a refrigerator in the unfinished part of the basement that the renter is able to use to store items / frozen goods and also the renter can have access to the family kitchen for cooking food etc... The rent is low as the offer is contingent on the renter having a car and being able to help with driving children to and from school daily. (which is listed in the main listing). This room has a seperate thermostat and AC unit so you have control over the temp of the space. There are windows and a large slider opening up to a well manicured back yard.
