Lanark Apartments, close to campus

Located between the B and C green lines, this cozy 2 bedroom apartment is in a quiet neighborhood close to Boston College. With easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, a gym, and the reservoir, I think you’ll find it’s conveniently... located. Heat, and water/hot water is included in the cost of rent and we split the cost of electric, gas, and WiFi. I have a large a/c unit in the living room and a unit in your room. I am still waiting to hear from the landlord about what next year’s rent will be. Last year it increased by $100 per person, so it is possible that this next year’s lease will be $1600 per person (assuming you are not moving in with a partner). The apartment is smoke free, I am personally fine with vaping.

I am looking for someone who wants this to be more than a mere place to live and wants to make it feel like a home. I operate on a “family” sort of vibe. Meaning to say, I don’t label anything as mine. I try to make sure the kitchen is well stocked. I don’t have my own shelf in the cupboard, there’s also not the room to do so. The hope is for everyone living here to contribute to the apartment essentials, keeping things amicable. I have a lot of kitchen equipment: kitchen aid, coffee bar (nespresso, coffee maker, water carbonator, and electric water kettle), etc.

We are both adults, so if I see something needs done then I try to take care of it. I’ve known many people who keep a chore chart. We are not in high school living back home. If that is what you are looking for then you might want to consider looking elsewhere. This being said, I give grace and hope for it in return. Grad school can be a lot and I certainly do not expect things to be perfect e.g., I don’t necessarily have an issue if the dishes are not done every single day.

Additionally, and following on the same thread of being adults, you don’t need to check in first before bringing someone over. My assumption is that you are considerate and will keep the volume down while others are sleeping. Have a few friends over and let’s hang. Have your partner over. I really do not care. That being said, if you want to host a large group/party then we would want to check in first. Basically, I’m hoping to find someone laid back and respectful.
