We are looking for a Graduate student who is done with classes/ internship by 3pm. We have a carriage house with a bedroom/ bath and living room on the second floor which would be their space. There is also a kitchen which is available for use on the... first floor.
We have an 11 year old son who loves audio books, nature and minecraft and a 14 year old daughter who is confident, outgoing and likes to cook.
This year we have had a grad student from the BC social work school. She has worked around 10 to 15 hours a week. Rent has been 5 hours of her time and then we pay for additional hours.
The main child care we need is driving kids to various sports events, some evening care and putting the kids to bed and help with homework. Most evenings it is around 3 till 7pm, some nights it is later.
We are looking for a smart, fun student who can help enforce the family rules and expectations, play outside with the kids and help do dishes on nights when they are with us. We have a Husky/ Pomeranian puppy who is wonderful.
References are required and we would also like you to meet the kids to make sure it is a good fit for our family.
We appreciate it is an unusual rent/childcare situation and hoping to find a wonderful person to help us and spend time with our family.
